Information We Collect
When you create a PetKarma account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely as a hash). Optionally, you may provide a profile photo.
For pet care coordination, we store pet profiles you create (names, species, feeding schedules, care instructions, photos), friend group membership, care shift schedules, and achievement data.
We automatically collect basic usage data such as login timestamps and feature usage metrics to improve the service. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases hosted by Supabase with row-level security policies.
Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard hashing algorithms to protect your credentials. Authentication tokens are securely managed and expire automatically.
